Beautiful song of the week.

I am obsessed with Adam Lambert's new album. The man can siiiinnnnggg! Apart from being in love with all the nice dance tracks, I was very surprised and got quite emotional about this track called Outlaws of Love. It's a truly beautiful song about equality, a topic I care a lot about. Suffice to say that this is an important song and you should cherish it and lick it and love it. Here's the studio version:

And here's Adam singing it live and angelic:

 The lyrics:

Oh, nowhere left to go.
Are we getting closer, closer?
No, all we know is no.
Nights are getting colder, colder.

Hey.
Tears all fall the same.
We all feel the pain
We can't change.

Everywhere we go
We're lookin' for the sun.
Nowhere to grow old.
We're always on the run.
They say we'll rot in hell
But I don't think we will
They've branded us enough
Outlaws of love.

Scars make us who we are
Hearts and homes are broken, broken.
Far, we could go so far
With our minds wide open, open.

Hey
Tears all fall the same
We all feel the rain
We can't change.

Everywhere we go
We're lookin' for the sun.
Nowhere to grow old.
We're always on the run.
They say we'll rot in hell
But I don't think we will
They've branded us enough
Outlaws of love.

Outlaws of love.
Out laws of love

Quote...

Just a quote from the project I'm working on at the moment.
Shadows embraced us tenderly and I showed you a beautiful flower, bursting into bloom in the darkness of the shade. I would let you marvel for a moment, then hold you close. I would whisper in your ear that everything would be all right. That even in the darkest places hope blossoms.

Theme song

I've come to a point in my life where I'm all melodramatic, thinking about what the hell I want to do with my life because obviously the end is near (even though I'm 20). Now, if the apocalypse will wait, I probably will have to make up my mind and shizzle. That's why I have a new themesong! Bitches love themesongs! It feels as though through every phase of my life I need a new theme song. And, as I feel like there is soooooooooooooo much more for me to do in this awesome world, my theme song for now is this one:

The song is called: Any old wind that blows by Johnny Cash. My dad loves him more than gummy bears and so he made me listen to his music a lot. While I'm not a fan of every song, I love this one, especially because of the lyrics. I think the part that suits me most is:

She's a butterfly in mid July
Who just can't wait to try her brand new wings
On brand new things
And she needs no rhyme or reason, when she goes
Her mind is on what lies beyond that wall of blue horizon
I suppose
And heaven knows
She'll go sailin' off on any old wind that blows

Now, I shall go to sleep, because I barely slept in 2 days. In my head I will be playing this song. Yessss I wiiiill, yes I wiiihiiilll.

Purrrfume

As many (the 3 people who read this) may know, I am fascinated with pretty make up and especially scents. I smell everything. I have developed a super nose with which I can smell every perfume passing me by.

The one thing I do like to spend money on is good quality perfume. I like the scent to linger for more than 30 minutes and I find that the usual drugstore scents do not have this ability. That's why I want to introduce you to my top 3 of favourite fragrances of this moment!

Ready?

Versace Woman

I got this perfume for Christmas and I loved it a lot. I'm a sucker for sweet smells and I feel like those suit me best as well. This particular perfume was launched in 2000 and I just adore the bottle. It has a very feminine shape and although I think Versace is usually a bit too over the top, I think this smell is nice and still attracts attention. The base notes are Frangipani, Jasmine, Eglantine, Padparadscha Lotus, Blue Cedar. In case you are wondering, I looked that up.

Purr by Katy Perry

I'm not really a big fan of celebrity perfumes and I initially wasn't planning on buying this one, even though Katy is my favourite bitch. Anyways, when I did get to smell it after Katy's gig in Cologne, I loved it so much that I did get myself a bottle. Silly me!
This is the perfume I use most and that is because it's super sweet and I love sweet. The base notes include peach, apple, green bamboo, jasmine, freesia, Bulgarian rose, vanilla orchid, white amber, sandalwood and musk.
Apart from that, even as a non-cat lover I adore the bottle!

 Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle

My absolute favourite. I am very careful with this perfume and I only use it for special events. It makes me feel confident and sexy and I haven't ever found any perfume like it. The reason why I got this perfume in the first place is because of my stepmother. She told me that classy women wear Chanel and when she wore it, I was sold. Now, as a 16 year old I felt a bit too young for such a grown-up perfume, so I got my very first bottle when I just turned 19. I still have the same bottle til this day. This perfume makes me happy and makes me feel like a lady.

The notes include:

  • Top notes: orange, bergamot, mandarin, Tunisian curaƧao
  • Middle notes: morning rose, Italian jasmine, ylang-ylang, mimosa, florentine iris
  • Base notes: Indonesian patchouli, Haitian vetiver, Bourbon vanilla, white musk, opoponax, tonka bean
Now I look at it, I do seem to adore scents with Jasmine in it. Hmmm good thing to realise! In the coming days I will probably share more of my favourite products with all of you sexy people. Why? Because I can!

Projects!

Hey sexy people!

At the moment, apart from working and going to uni, I am keeping myself busy with 2 different projects. One is a full lenght story and one is another sort of project about love. It will be published as a book, but basically it's a collection of letters that will tell a supah sad love story. I know, I'm so sentimental!

Because I love you so much, here's a tiny excerpt:

You spoke with so much joy about all the things you admired. You asked me questions I did not wish to answer. I was not important. I did not matter. I just wanted to hear your voice, the music to my heart. I took you outside at night, when all was silent and the world asleep. We watched the stars together, and you said that one day you would be up there. I asked you what you meant. You said that you believed that when you died, when your body was nothing more than a shell where once life had flourished, you would turn into a star shining brighter than any other. I laughed and asked you if you would watch over me when that day would come. You promised you would. My smile, however was not sincere. I did not want you to die. I wanted you to live forever. Nothing in this world seemed to make sense without you. The moment you would die, time would also. And my heart.

The scarce moments I was left alone, I did not enjoy my lonely thoughts. All I cared for was how I could be with you once again. It seemed as though my love for you only grew more and more the moments I could not see you. With every pound my heart ached. I cried, I admit, whenever my voice could not reach you, call for you, comfort you.
So yeah, that's basically what I am doing right now. Also, I am considering to rewrite parts of my short stories, Fairytales before Dark, improve it all and then publish it. Who knows?

I hope to share more with you all soon.

Love,

Ingrid
